· The validation and verification process begins with the receipt by the validation and verification body of a fully completed and signed by the Applicant application for validation or verification works in the prescribed form and determination of the possibility to carry out the works. Information on the decision shall be communicated to the Applicant.

Global Standards Compliance
confirmation of compliance with applicable verification or validation criteria, including principles and requirements of relevant greenhouse gas standards or programmes within the established field. Direct work on validation and verification of greenhouse gases shall be carried out by experts on validation and verification of greenhouse gases, who have competences that meet the established criteria for accreditation of the body on validation and verification of greenhouse gases, as well as meet the requirements of regulatory documents.

Greenhouse Gas Validation and Verification opinions as an assurance to the intended user that the Greenhouse Gas Statement is free of material errors, omissions and misrepresentations with a reasonable (acceptable) or limited level of confidence (level of assurance);
Negative Conclusion (reasoned refusal to issue) on the results of validation and verification of greenhouse gases due to the fact that the Greenhouse Gas Statement was not made in exact compliance with the requirements of the greenhouse gas standard or programme or due to the fact that the expert was unable to obtain sufficient acceptable objective evidence to form his opinion on whether the Greenhouse Gas Statement was made in exact compliance with the requirements of the greenhouse gas standard or programme.
